Thank you to all who joined us for a virtual presentation about the Custer Gallatin National Forest Plan. You can find a recording of the presentation on YouTube as well as embedded here:
The presentation provides a place-by-place breakdown of all the forest plan details and gives a sneak peek into what may come next now that the forest planning process is done. Presenters were from GFP partner organizations Wild Montana, Winter Wildlands Alliance, and the Livingston Bike Club.
As the presenters discussed, the Forest Service did its part by producing a new forest plan that reflects the Gallatin Forest Partnership’s recommendations for our wild backyard. Now, we need the help of our members of Congress to fully achieve our vision for the Gallatin and Madison ranges.
As we begin to reach out to our congressional delegation to ask for their help driving these protections home, you can do your part too. Right now, you can show your support by endorsing the Gallatin Forest Partnership Agreement, and we’ll let you know when you can take further action to support permanent protection of the Gallatin and Madison Ranges. We also encourage you to share this recording with your friends and own networks.
